Kota Kinabalu: New Sabah Rhinos head coach Mike Mulvey said it is important for the team to apply the right game plan in the match against T-Team on Friday night in order to get a good result.
He said he had watched T-Team play in the FA Cup against Perak recently and was very impressed by them.
"They are a very matured team with good movement, quite aggressive and were very unlucky against Perak in certain parts of the game.
"But in football you need to prepare for the opposition to a certain extent but the most important thing is that your own game must be right.
He said the three-week break had him working on the team's strategy and structure and pleased with the attitude of the players.
"We train very hard because we got to work on our strategy and structure and the boys have been very very good. They really worked hard and I think we can see some improvement in our play both individually and collectively.
"The biggest improvement is that as a collective unit when we played 11 against 11, everybody is involved now.
Both teams are trying to play good quality football.
"It is not easy to pick the first 11 any more. So that is good news because what I was after was competition for places and I think we have that now.
"We are looking forward for the match this Friday because we want to start playing again.
We want to try to put in a very good performance and get a very good result."
He also disclosed that newly signed Australian Joel Chianese will only be available for selection if he receives his International Transfer Certificate on time.
20 players will travel to Terengganu today and according to him it is good to bring some younger ones so that they could see what is like to be in the team and at the same time there are players readily available if needed.
He added that Abdoulaye Faye who has just returned on Monday from England will not travel with the team.
"He has a treatment today and he will see the doctor tomorrow and he won't travel with the team as we won't want to risk him this Friday."
