Keningau: KDM Keningau came from behind to stun KDM Papar 3-2 in the KDMM Football League 2018/2019 Charity Shield match held at Keningau Stadium on Saturday.'
Despite their home ground advantage, it was Papar who found the net first after a scoreless opening half.
Norejan Jamlin netted the opener in the 51st minute and David Joseph extended Papar's lead in the 60th minutes.
With the backing of the full capacity crowd, Keningau managed to pull one goal back through Aldrin Justin in the 66th minute.
Their relentless attacks to find the equaliser finally paid off with former State President Cup player Zackllani Antanom's strike in the 88th minute, and Shane Albert then scored the winning goal with a powerful shot deep into injury time.
The victory saw Keningau pocket RM10,000 in prize money which was presented by KDM president Datuk Peter Anthony while Papar had to settle for RM3,500. – GL Oh
