Kota Kinabalu: Five junior players from the state are currently undergoing national selection trial for the Malaysia Under-15 team at the National Sports Council ground in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
The five led by former state footballer Scott Ollerenshaw's son Jordan from SM La Salle were selected based on recommendations from the National Sports Council's Sabah Youth Development coach Osmera Omaro and Sabah Education Department Technical Chairman.
The other four local players are Debbson Michael Wong, Arisdius and Aidil Muhimian, all Form Three students from SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin and Evan Wensley from SMK Keningau II.
The selection trail involving a total of 64 players throughout the country is conducted by Malaysian Under-15 national team coach S. Balachandran under the supervision of FAM Technical Director Lim Kim Chon.
