Kota Kinabalu: Newly appointed Sabah football coach David McCreery had his first training session with the players since their defeat to Kedah in the play-off five days ago at the Likas Sports Complex field 'B' on Tuesday afternoon.
29 players showed up including several reserve league players and they were given a light training session for about an hour.
The players went through a few short matches before David who was assisted by Andrew Majanggim called it a day and the players were later briefed on their weaknesses.
According to team manager Yahya Kassim, the training session was essential despite the fasting month, as there will be a match to be held on Thursday evening at the Likas Stadium where David will access each of the players.
A follow-up report is likely to be compiled and a decision will then be made by the management to decide on who are to stay and who are to leave.
The new-look team under David will be playing in the Premier League next season after two seasons in Super League.
