Kota Kinabalu: Sabah succumbed to a 2-0 defeat away to Perak in their President Cup match at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh on Thursday.
The strikers again failed to find the net despite the team dominating the match and Umareng Bacok had two chances in each half that missed the target.
A defensive error in the first period allowed the home team to take a one-goal lead and an unfortunate own goal by Dendy Lowa, when he tried to clear the ball in the second half, sealed Sabah's fate.
The team had earlier lost to the same team 2-0 at home and the defeat was their fifth of the season having only collected 28 points after 21 matches played.
They will next meet Kedah here at the Likas Stadium on May 16.
