A DEPLETED Sabah Cebagoo were beaten 2-0 by Malacca at the Hang Tuah Stadium last night.
Denied the services of three key players, the East Malaysian club succumbed to two first-half goals to stretch their winless streak to six matches.
“Two defensive mistakes cost us the game,” said a disappointed coach Razali Zinin.
“I was not happy with the team’s performance … they were too relaxed and lacked urgency.
“The team lack a leader who can lead, motivate and inspire them … a player like Mohd Reithuddin Emran,” he said.
Reithuddin is believed to be at odd with the club management and had missed the last three games.
Also missing from yesterday’s line-up were playmaker Billyton Vun and striker Rainol Masaat.
The defeat was Cebagoo’s sixth of the season and they remain on 12 points having won and drawn three times each.
Cebagoo will next face second-placed PBAPP of Penang at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) stadium on May 12.
