SABAH CEBAGOO FC dominated Penang but still ended up losing 1-0 in the FAM Cup tie at the City Stadium today.
Penang scored the only goal in the first half to extend their unbeaten run to six games.
Cebagoo head coach Razali Zinin was dissapointed with the outcome of the match, which he said could have been won.
“Everyone expected us to get a thrashing but it was we who controlled the game.
“We had more chances and if we had only scored the penalty kick, it would have been a different story,” he said referring to captain Mohd Reithuddin Emran’s second half penalty miss.
“I have to say it was the best I’ve seen from the boys this season.
“Although we lost, I’m still proud of the players. I just hope that they would perform as well in our coming games,” he added.
The defeat was Cebagoo’s fourth. They have won three games and drawn once.
Penang have a perfect 18 points from six matches.
Cebagoo will next meet Kelantan Tumpat FA at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah stadium on April 7.
