Anything less is unacceptable!
The team is at its lowest ebb following their 2-0 defeat to bottom of the table UiTM FC in their last game away.
Prior to the clash, UiTM FC finally broke their duck after failing to score a single goal in their first five matches. That was also their first points of the season.
“We need the win badly. Even a draw will not be good enough for us …we need to collect more points and we must start from this game against KL Pos Malaysia,” Zainizam said.
“Every one of us must fight for the team, and put in extra hard work on the pitch to ensure that we get the maximum points.
“We can’t afford to take things for granted from now on, and must fight tooth and nail to get the points,” the squad longest serving player said.
Sabah is currently eighth in the 12-team table on six points, just two points above the relegation zone.
On the other hands Pos Malaysia is in sixth on seven points from two wins and a draw.
Zainizam said he is uncertain whether to start the game due to slight injury.
However, he is willing to endure the pain if he is picked for the first team today.
“I still feel pain on my knees…it’s the tendon. However, it will not stop me from trying to help Sabah gets a win,” he said.
