KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Cebagoo FC is all set to register their second consecutive home win when they entertain Pahang Kuantan FA in their FAM Cup match at the Likas Stadium today.
The Sepanggar-based outfit will go into the battlefield brimming with confidence following their comfortable home win over Melaka in the opener on February 17.
Head coach cum manager Razali Zinin is likely to stick to his winning guns, with former State skipper Md Reithudin Awg Emran spearheading their charge.
“It was good to be able to win our first match and I hope the players will be hungry for another win tomorrow (today),” said club president Mohd Joh Wid yesterday.
The match kicks off at 4.15pm, and those Cebagoo supporters have to fork out RM10 for grandstand seats and RM5 for open terrace.
“We got what we aimed for against Melaka which was a winning start and we sure would like to keep the momentum going,” Joh added.
Cebagoo beat Melaka 2-0 at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah Stadium on February 17.
With their postponed match last Sunday, Joh said all his players have rested well and are in high spirit in search of another three points to maintain their place in the top two of the 11-team standings.
Cebagoo FC was supposed to play on Sunday but their match against Penang PBAPP FC was rescheduled.
He said the coaches (Razali Zinin and Jelius Ating) have been working closely with the players and based on their observation, all are fit and ready for the encounter.
