KOTA KINABALU: LDEO FC championed the Rakan Kembara Sabah Cup Football Tournament held at the Lahad Datu Marin Complex football field, yesterday.
They defeated Bid’s FC in the final match to lift the cup while the latter settled for second place whereas Sejati FC finished third place for the tournament.
A total of 32 teams participated in the tournament which also saw TRF FC and MU Legend FC lifted the Community Shield category.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Lahad Datu Assistant Police Commissioner, ACP Nasri Mansor. Meanwhile Rakan Kembara Sabah Chairman, Mizma Appehdullah encourages youths to make changes in a productive and constructive way for the better future of the country.
“Youths are advised to continue actively in any sports associations to strengthen their identity and gain a broader experience of leadership through being active in an organisation.
“Such efforts should be emphasised continuously to ensure that the youth can benefit from the associations they are involved with,” she continues. – By UMESH RAJAN
