Kota Kinabalu: Rhinos fans are urged to stay solidly behind the team throughout the season and be patience by team manager Datuk Seri T C Goh.
"Supporters must maintain faith in the team during the transition period and look towards the desired end product," he said on Sunday.
He said the team are in good shape and in high spirit under head coach Justin Ganai and technical director Mike Mulvey.
"The coaches know what direction to take the team and players will strive to achieve that and it is in the supporters' remit to allow them time to do that.
"Any new team are not going to work right overnight and it took time to become a good team.
To know each other, to learn each other , what works for each other, what don't work and as they said Rome wasn't built overnight."
Goh who is also the chief executive officer of the team assured the fans that they are constantly evaluating players in the team.
"We are looking forward to strengthen and improve our fire power during the transfer window opens in April," he said.
He had earlier on Thursday said that they are going to do restructuring to make sure better players coming in the team with the advise of Justin and Mike so that they will have a stronger team in the second half of the season.
He also reviewed that there are already negotiations with a few agents for new players within the rules and regulation of Football Association Malaysia and a decision will be made in the middle of this month and they will definitely sign one player from the Asian region.
On the 4-1 win over KL SPA Putrajaya FC at the Likas Stadium on Friday, he is happy that the team had regained their confidence after the previous two losses on the road.
"It was a very positive response from the players after the early setback.They followed the instruction as planned and made it right for the night.
"We won the match with all the hard works from all parties including the undivided support from the Rhinos fans.
"We really appreciate the fans and it is a very big thank you for them as we have achieved our target of getting the maximum points .
" He added that despite numerous criticisms on the team , the players will take it as a challenge and stay united to focus in their next game against Kuantan FA at home on March 13.
He also expressed his appreciation to Sabah Football Association (SAFA) Committee especially its President, Datuk Seri Musa Hj Aman for his trust in him to lead the team this season.
'It is an honour to be given the task to lead the team. It is not mission impossible for the team to gain promotion at the end pf the season and we will definitely try our best to make it happen for Sabahans."
