Kota Kinabalu: Thirteen persons received their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) licence 'B' coaching certificate which was held at the Universiti Malaysai Sabah (UMS) from Jan 7-27.
The course which was organised by UMS Sports Centre with the cooperation of the Malaysia Higher Education Ministry saw a total of 23 participants, of whom only three failed while seven others who passed partially will have to re-sit the course for another week.
The 13 who passed are Azaman Soaibah, Rosmadi Wasli, Razeki Rashid, Jorry Jakiwa, Mohd Faizal Marjus, Mohd Aiyyman Shah @ David Johnny, Kamaruddin Junit, Sueli Apin, Billyton Vun Kit Ming, Roslan Wasli, Michael Wong, Muhamdin Abdul Ajid and Itnes Kalang.
The seven who are requested to attend the course again are Maran Kuba, Slybester Justin, Sjaifuddin Abdul Wahind, Ardi Sida, Darus Abdul Wahab, Tommy Amir and Mohamad Jaafar.
Meanwhile, a One Malaysia Futsal tournament for men and women organised by the Sabah Football Association (Safa) futsal and beach football committee in conjunction with the Merdeka Day celebration will be held at the Yayasan Sabah Futsal centre on September 15-16.
It is open to all clubs and teams throughout Sabah and there will have three categories namely Open, Under-18 and Under-15.
Cash prizes as well as sports equipments and medals will be offered to the winners.
The entry forms will only be available in mid July at all leading futsal centres in the city and the person to contact is Azman Soaibah 016-8207479.
