Kota Kinabalu: 16-year-old Muhd Nor Azzriel Azani looks set to become a future football star according Sabah Academy FC head coach Stanley Chew.
He said the striker who originated from Kudat has been recommended by Harimau Muda A's coach Ong Kim Swee to join the Bukit Jalil Sports School after he was briefed by Stanley on the player.
According Stanley, Azzriel has trained under him for the past four years and he had played in the Borneo Cup Under-14 and Under-16 tournaments as well as the national schools competition.
He added that his parents had sacrificed a lot as they decided to move from Kudat to the State capital in order for the children to study in SMK Likas so that they can follow the training sessions under Sabah Academy FC.
Apart from Azzriel, his two younger brothers, Afiq Hamidi and Azeem Hakim also did very well in the sport and both had represented the State in national schools competition.
