Kota Kinabalu: Cebagoo FC received a boost when former international Razali Zinin joined them as the head coach for their campaign in the FAM Cup competition this coming season.
The Sabah Youth and Sports Ministry officer when contacted said he was first approached by the Sepanggar based outfit's advisor Datuk Mohd Hasnol Ayub on the possibility in guiding the club before he met up with president Joh Wid and subsequently took up the offer.
"It is a huge task for me and I am ready to take up the challenge.
Football is always in my blood and the return to the sport as coach is another ladder up for me and I am willing to give and share all my knowledge and experience with the players."
He said he also shared the club's vision that is to mould the team into a force to be reckoned with in the national football arena.
Razali who was the State team captain and a national team regular before he retired in the 1994-95 season started out as a striker when he made his debut in 1979 before he was turned into an attacking midfielder.
He had trained under coach Stanley Chew, German Ger Schmidt, James Wong, Azah Ezrein, Englishmen Frank Upton and Roy Lorenson throughout his footballing career.
He also holds a degree in sports management from the United States and he will be assisted by another former State skipper Jelius Ating in the team.
Meanwhile, Joh confirmed that the club has registered seven officials, 33 players including 10 who are under 21-year-old with the FAM on Dec 6.
