RHINOS FIRED UP FOR UPB-MyTEAM CLASH

KOTA KINABALU: The Rhinos are eyeing a double over UPB-MyTEAM when they meet in the second round of their Premier League challenge at the Shah Alam Stadium tonight.

Rahman Zakaria said they are all fired up to take on the table-toppers, insisting that victory is within reach.

In the first round, the Rhinos shocked the leaders for their first defeat of the season by chalking up a convincing 3-1 victory at the Likas Stadium late last month.

And the Rhinos team manager is optimistic of repeating their feat over the club side.

Despite the Rhinos playing at the opponent’s den, Rahman isn’t a worried man.

“It doesn’t matter whether it is at home or away, we are ready for the battle. We know it is going to be a tough battle, but we will go down to the battle field with only victory in mind,” said Rahman.

“We know where we stand and furthermore we need to show some kind of consistency if we want to do well, not only in the League but other competitions such as in the Malaysia Cup and the FA Cup.

“We will certainly be going all out. The players are ready and I think all of them are pretty much in high spirit. Determination and commitment among the players are also high, and I don’t see any reason why we should slip points away in this match,” Rahman said.

“So obviously we are all pretty optimistic about our chances, and hopefully everything will go our way tomorrow.

On a positive note, Rahman said that they will be having a full squad for the clash including striker-in-chief, Charles Obi, who will surely and certainly spearhead the Rhinos in attack.

He added that Prince Ativie Guy will also be around, including the rest of the players in the like of Rosdin Wasli, Chow Chee Wing, Ahmad Tharmini Saiban, Prince Eboagwu Etuwe, S. Sunder and Ronny Harun to name a few.

For the record, UPB-MyTEAM is currently leading the pack in the 11-team standings with 24 points to show, 10 points ahead of sixth placed Sabah, who have a game in hand.

A victory over UPB-MyTEAM will certainly help improve their position in the standings.
